For Falcons fans who are also Georgia Bulldogs fans, Jalon Walker would be the dream for Atlanta at pick #15. Unfortunately, Todd McShay doesn’t believe there’s a chance he makes it out of the top 10.

Given what happened this past season in Philadelphia, which featured a slew of former Georgia defensive players, current Bulldogs are going to get a much longer look from every NFL team.
Jalon Walker is a bit of a tweener, spending time this past season as an off-ball linebacker and as a pass rusher, recording 37 tackles, 11 of which went for loss, and 6.5 sacks. There’s no question his value is greatest as a sack artist, and while there are concerns about his size coming off the edge, the tape doesn’t lie. Walker is a powerful athlete with excellent speed and quickness. It might take some time and the right situation for him to develop, but he has the makeup of a Day 1 starter with the upside to become a star, similar to many other Georgia Bulldogs before him.
Given the lack of premier pass rushing prospects in this year’s draft behind Abdul Carter, it’s difficult to imagine a world where Jalon Walker makes it out of the top 10, as McShay predicts. For the Falcons, that likely means they’ll have to look elsewhere in the draft to find an answer to their pass rush woes.
