A changing of the guard at Pebble Tossers, a youth development organization, has occurred with the retirement of founding executive director Jennifer Guynn.
Guynn retired after 16 years of service. Jonathan Gosse, a seasoned nonprofit leader, has succeeded her as executive director of the Dunwoody-based organization, according to a news release.
Gosse will oversee strategic direction, program development, and operations. Guynn will transition to the board of directors, offering continued guidance and support.
Gosse brings more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management, program development and community. He served as vice president of development at Soccer in the Streets, where he expanded outreach and fundraising efforts. Prior to that, he spent 18 years with the Oracabessa Foundation in Jamaica, leading strategic planning, fundraising, and community engagement initiatives.
“Jonathan’s experience in youth development and community building makes him the ideal leader for Pebble Tossers’ next chapter,” Guynn said in the release. “His passion for empowering young people and fostering partnerships will ensure our continued growth and impact.”
Pebble Tossers equips and empowers youth to lead through service, the release said. More than 26,700 youth, ages 4 to 24, have been engaged in volunteer service since its founding in 2008. The organization curated 477 service projects in 2024. Pebble Tossers’ Teen Leadership Program is a statewide recognized youth leadership development program.
Will Vinci, 17, of Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School, has met with success in the youth leadership development program. As a volunteer leader with Pebble Tossers, he has worked more than 480 hours in service to the community, preparing sandwiches, meals and hygiene kits. His service earned him Rough Draft’s 20 Under 20 honors for 2025.
