Playoff Saturday Open Thread: Various Shades And Levels Of Contempt (And Orange)
Caitie McMekin/News Sentinel / USA TODAY NETWORK Today, for the first time in human history, you can watch three, count them, three college football playoff games on the same day. What a time to be alive. The action kicks off at noon when Penn State hosts SMU in Happy Valley. (TNT/MAX) That’s followed immediately by lil ole Clemson traveling to Austin to take on the Texas Longhorns. (4:00, TNT/MAX) And tonight’s main course features an army of Tennessee fans clad in orange hunting/probation-fulfilling road crew orange spending a cold night in Columbus watching Josh Heupel menace, harass and otherwise inconvenience Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes. (8:00, ABC/ESPN) it’s a veritable smorgasbord of holiday gridiron fun, and we are glad you are here to share it together. This will be the open comment thread for all of today’s action, as well as your early thoughts on Georgia’s upcoming Sugar Bowl match up with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. So have a hot cocoa, eggnog, or similar fortifying beverage (and some of aunt Sheila‘s weird fluorescent Jell-O concoction), kick back, and watch the battle for playoff survival. Until later… Go ‘Dawgs!!!!
